Abstract

The operational activities of a company are conducted to maximize the profits of shareholders. But besides that, the company also has an obligation to give contribution to society. To accommodate the goals and the obligations of the company, systems called Corporate Governance (CG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) can be applied. The implementations of CG and CSR are related because CSR is the consequence of applying CG. Besides CG and CSR are related one another, CG and CSR also linked to Corporate Financial Performance (CFP). A research was conducted on one hundred companies listed in Kompas100 index in order to know the relation among the implementation of CG, the exposure of CSR, and CFP. Analysis to know the relation of three variables was conducted using analysis of structural equation modeling (SEM). The result shows that the implementation of CG positively influenced to the exposure of CSR. Nevertheless, the implementation of CG is negatively nfluenced to the CFP. Similarly, the exposure of CSR is negatively influenced to the CFP. Due to the influence CG to CFP and the influence CSR to CFP is negative, implementation of CG is also influence negatively to the CFP through the disclosure of CSR as a moderating variable.

 Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of corporate social responsibility towards the customer loyalty, mediated by corporate image. The population in this study was the customers of BPR. The number of samples was 120 respondents by using purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used was the technique of path analysis and the Sobel test. The results of this study indicated that CSR had a positive and significant impact on the corporate image and the customer loyalty of BPR in Denpasar. The variable of corporate image was proved to be able to mediate the effects of CSR on BPR customer loyalty in Denpasar significantly. The implication of this research was suggested to BPR industry in Denpasar to implement and to communicate the CSR activities done to increase the corporate image and to increase the customer loyalty.

Abstract
Different characteristics could be determined by using three approaches categories: structure, performance, and market. Structure was determined by factors associated with the development of the company included firm size, firm age, and the ability to repay the debt. Performance was determined by quantitative factors included the company’s liquidity and profitability, while the market was determined by factors namely qualitative form of public shares, and the status of the company. The purpose of this study was to test the influence of fundamental factors, namely liquidity, profitability, leverage, stock ownership, firm size, firm age and status of the company’s CSR, and to test the different types of industries (Consumer Goods, Mining and Forestry sectors Banking and widespread influence of CSR disclosure in Indonesia). The samples used were 30 companies of consumption sector, 31 companies of mining sector and plantation, and 28 companies of banking sector during 2010-2012. The company’s data was taken from the annual report. Data analysis technique used multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicated that the stock ownership and firm age had a significant effect on the area of CSR (CSR Index), and a significant effect on the CSR Index stock price and type industry influence on the CSR Index.

 Abstract

This research investigated the influence of informativeness of accounting on the relation of Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure and the cost of equity capital of public companies listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange in the period of 2008-2012. Purposive sampling method was used to determine samples and 154 observations were obtained. Hypothesis testing was conducted using moderated regression analysis (MRA). This study found that the informativeness of accounting influenced the relation of Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure and the cost of equity capital. It weakened the positive impact of corporate social responsibility on the cost of equity capital. The greater level of Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure accompanied by a good informativeness of accounting by companies, the lower the cost of equity capital was. Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure with good informativeness accounting would give potential benefits like the growing number of investors, reducing estimated risks and asymmetry of information each of which indicated a reduction in the cost of equity capital of firms.
